Bolonia |
 Bolonia is without doubt on of the most beautiful beaches in Spain and up till now remarkably tranquil and unspoilt although during the months of July and August the crowds are inevitable. It is located about 20 minutes drive from the windsurfing mecca of Tarifa, heading towards Cadiz. It is well sign posted from the main road and there´s no chance of getting lost with one road in and one road out. As you head down to the beach you have the option of following the road along to the right hand side of the bay or turning left as you enter the village. If you follow the road to the right you´ll reach the main car park and also the famous Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia. If you take the left turn you reach a more alternative end of the beach with some very laid back beach bars and restaurants and the only windsurfing school in the bay Planet Windsurfing Bolonia. Accommodation in Bolonia is on a pretty small scale which only adds to the charm of the place. There are no large hotels, only a gathering of small hostels and apartments for rent, available on a weekly or daily basis. Bolonia Links: |
